今日は今年の最初のセミを聞こえた。
ついに夏が来ましたって感じ。
しかも今日は35度らしい！
ま、実は出身のSacramento, Californiaはあまりかわらないけど、湿気があまりないからまだまだそんな死にそうでもない。
東京もうたえられない。助けて！

本当にしまった。何もいいこと来なかった。
ま、たまにそんな日もある。

まだまだ優勝したところの自慢！！！
今週の日曜日、千点棒御茶ノ水店で大会が行って、勝っちゃった！
本当に超嬉しい！
だって、初めて、どこでもの優勝。
結局、勝った理由は多分この手だけ。。。
さっきの手で鳴いたりして5巡目で１０００点あがったところ。一回戦、東四局、僕の親番、ドラは
、僕の配牌：
第一打ちはで、ツモは：
！！！！
すごくない？！でもさっき
、が出たばっかりだから、もう間に合ってないかなと思って、半秒くらい悩んだ。そしてリーチ！一発のツモは
！8000オールでもう54,000点で一回戦も決まった。
しかも次の配牌、ドラは
これでもすぐテンパってまた12,000点取れた。麻雀は簡単だね！
でもやっぱり勝つときはこんな感じ。無理矢理押してることじゃなくて、手が勝手に入ってくれる。
一回戦で75P取ったらその後はちょっとだけ稼いだら、簡単に優勝しちゃいました!

OK, I have been seriously slacking on just about all fronts.
The World Cup has not been good for my schedule keeping me up at all hours of the night and generally also forcing me to down a significant number of beers that whole time too.
But it’s finally over. Congratulations to Spain on sneaking off with a win as The Netherlands couldn’t kick the ball in the ocean if they were standing on the beach and the Germans were denied a PK in the semifinal when Ozil was clearly knocked over in the penalty area.
Pretty fun 4 weeks of action but for the love of god, train some referees before the next 4 years rolls around. Or else start using video review. There were just too many game changing calls or no-calls for that level of play.
On another note, DIET!
OK, I haven’t been updating for a while, but I think I can sum up my diet for the last couple weeks pretty well in just a couple words: beer, nachos. I don’t know how nachos didn’t make it on the banned list but since they aren’t, that’s pretty much what I’ve lived on while enjoying the world cup and hardly sleeping.
Tonight I had my first relatively normal meal in a while, a salad of cabbage and assorted vegetables, fried chicken, watermelon, and a gobou salad. I would say burdock root except that I had never heard of the word until I looked up gobou in my Japanese to English dictionary.
